Beyond Wise

My wife loves sport. Living in a household with three men, one of them a sports reporter, supporting the sporting aspirations of two sons through their school years, and a husband's passion for horse racing, golf, cricket, rugby, football, rugby league, Australian football, she probably has had little choice. A case of if you can't ignore them, join in.

 

An opinionated woman, she does produce some gems from time to time, which I share here.

On the Wallabies vs. Lions 2/8/25

"I don't care what others say, I think the Wallabies won the series 2-1". Clearly has a view of the 2nd test result that varies from the scoreboard at the final whistle.

On the Warriors vs. Dolphins 2/8/25

"Bloody Warriors". Methinks the lady is becoming a bit exasperated. Aren't we all.

This works one of two ways, it's either because,

  • organised crime needs to be better organised, or
  • get a government minister involved and they can be guaranteed to run Organised Crime into the ground.

 

Headline in Stuff 5/10/25

"Netball boss Jennie Wyllie urges restraint during Dame Noeline Taurua standoff"

They make it sound like the woman has locked herself in a room with firearms and a hostage.
